FERRAGAMO WINE TASTING
Il Borro’s private wine tasting at Ferragamo in 2025 unfolded as an intimate celebration of Tuscan terroir and Italian elegance, reserved for a select circle of collectors and style-savvy guests. Held within Ferragamo’s sophisticated showroom, the event married the house’s refined aesthetic with Il Borro’s rustic-luxury vineyard narrative: low, warm lighting, terracotta and ochre accents, and subtle displays of estate photographs and engravings. Guests were guided through a curated flight of Il Borro wines — from their Sangiovese-driven classics to a standout Chardonnay and a special Bolle di Borro sparkling — with each pour introduced by an Il Borro representative who wove stories of organic viticulture, soil types, and the estate’s artful approach to winemaking. Small-plate pairings—artisan cheeses, olive-oil drizzled breads, and delicate Tuscan canapés—accentuated the tasting, while unobtrusive Ferragamo touches (bespoke napkins, discreet signage) reinforced the collaborative luxury tone.
Behind the scenes, the production and hospitality teams executed a flawlessly discreet service befitting a private invitation affair. The tasting layout favoured conversational clusters rather than a formal theatre, encouraging guests to linger and discuss each vintage; elegant display pedestals held bottles like objets d’art, and a quiet tasting table offered deeper vertical pours for collectors. Attention to detail extended to printed tasting notes, donation-style takeaways (estate literature and a curated olfactory card), and a small photo alcove subtly branded with both Il Borro and Ferragamo motifs for tasteful social captures. Overall, the evening felt less like a promotion and more like a cultured encounter — an experiential bridge between high fashion and fine wine that honoured craftsmanship, provenance, and meaningful connection among a discerning audience.
