CAMP IN THE CITY @ SERENDIPITY KOTA KINABALU, SABAH

In 2023, Dewar’s brought its “Camp in the City – Serendipity” experience to life, transforming the venue into a cozy, nature-inspired escape in the heart of the city. The event invited guests to unwind and explore Dewar’s signature smoothness through immersive whisky tastings, creative cocktail pairings, and ambient outdoor-style décor that evoked the warmth of a modern campfire gathering. With dim lighting, earthy tones, and relaxed music, “Serendipity” created an intimate setting that encouraged discovery and conversation among whisky lovers.

As part of Dewar’s nationwide “Discovery Challenge” initiative, the Serendipity edition highlighted the brand’s adventurous spirit—blending urban sophistication with the charm of outdoor exploration. Guests experienced not just the taste of Dewar’s aged blends but also the brand’s philosophy of finding joy in unexpected moments. The event successfully merged lifestyle, leisure, and whisky appreciation, positioning Dewar’s as a brand that thrives on curiosity, connection, and the simple pleasures of good company.

“Camp in the City – Serendipity” were meticulously executed by a skilled production team, who transformed the venue into an experiential whisky camp infused with modern flair. The team designed interactive zones featuring a target game station, retro-style pinball machines, and a lucky draw booth, adding layers of engagement and fun to the event. Warm lighting, wooden textures, and branded props recreated the feel of an urban campsite while maintaining Dewar’s premium aesthetic. These thoughtful touches not only enhanced the visual storytelling but also encouraged guests to participate, play, and share their moments—blending brand discovery with an element of adventure and entertainment.
